How to use your grill
Before fi rst use
– Remove any packing materials completely.
– Before using the grill for the fi rst time,
clean the reversible grill plate, grill stone
and mini-pans with a damp cloth.
– We recommend that you heat up the
appliance for about 10 minutes, without
any food, to eliminate the smell typically
encountered when fi rst switching on a
grill. A small amount of smoke may also
be noticeable, so the room may have to be
ventilated during this period.

 Fit the stone onto the appliance over

grooves on the underside of the grill stone
fi t securely over the side edges of the
supporting frame, so that the stone cannot
move. Caution: avoid placing a cold stone
onto a hot element.

– Th is stone is entirely natural material.
Small cracks resulting from natural
expansion and contraction during heating
and cooling, as well as a change to a
darker colour, are normal and have no
detrimental eff ects.
– Do not place any frozen food or items
containing vinegar (such as pickled
gherkins or mustard) on the stone.
Reversible grill plate
– With the ribbed side facing upwards, the
grill plate can be used for grilling in the
normal way. When placing the grill plate
over the heating element, the small studs
under the plate must fi t securely inside the
supporting frame, so that the plate cannot
move.
– Before the food is placed on the grill plate,
the plate should be lightly greased with a
small amount of oil which is specifi cally
intended for frying and may be safely
heated to high temperatures.
– Th e reverse side is suitable for cooking 4
small pancakes (or crêpes). To prepare
dough for crêpes or pancakes, simply
follow the recipe below.
Temperature control
– Th e variable thermostat controls the
operating time of the heating element,
with the indicator light showing its
current operating state.
Indicator light on = heating element on
Indicator light off = heating element off
– Aft er use, return the thermostat to its lowest
setting (•) and unplug the appliance from
the mains supply.
– When melting cheese or grilling, the
