When the drive sprocket has been loosen the screw,
threads and bolt head must be greased. If the screw
is not properly greased it will loosen.

Always tighten the screw with tightening torque 20 Nm
(15 ft-lbs).

Saw chain

Unscrew the handle (1) completely, to loosen the
chain tension.

Pull the chain to release the tension mechanism (2)
and remove the chain.

Inspect the chain for damages or wear. If needed,
assemble a new chain on the chain bar.

The chain tension is adjusted with the handle (1).
CAUTION! The correct diamond chain tension on this
machine differs from other chain saws. When the chain
is perfectly tensioned the chain is tight to the chain bar
and in a perfect circle around the chain bar. After
tensioning it should still be possible to lift up the chain
so the chain guides are parallel to the chain bar and to
move the chain easily.

Guide bar

Use the 13 mm t-box spanner to remove the screw
that holds the guide bar.

Use the provided allen key to remove the 2
countersunk screws. Keep the screws. If these screws
need to be replaced, use only screws from the
Illustrated Part List (IPL).

Remove the guide bar and check it for wear.

Check if there are burrs on the edges of the bar.
Remove these with a file if necessary.
