The gauge arm must be used for applying stick-on weights.
Position the stick-on weight on the gauge arm. See
Figure 5.3.4-7.
Block the wheel in the correct WAP position and then
move the gauge arm up to the reference point on the
left plane.
Note:
The right display will indicate the direction in
which to move the arm in order to reach the
weight application point. When the zero 0
position is reached, both the weight quantity
indicator and the weight on rim position LED
will flash to indicate that the weight should
now be fitted.
Apply the weight by turning the arm towards the rim.
You must now decide whether to use the Split Weight
Mode (See Chapter 5.4.1).
Turn the wheel to the other WAP position or positions,
fit the stick-on weight to the gauge arm and apply the
weight to the reference point on the right plane.
Note:
If the reference points on the plane have
been changed, move the gauge arm to the
starting position. Select Offset to reset the
gauge arm to the Data Insert Mode. Insert
both the plane reference points. Once this
has been done continue as outlined above
and apply the weights.
Note:
When the internal gauge arm is extracted all
data is normally displayed unless;
The left plane has not reached the correct angle for
applying weights and the weight to be applied
is a stick-on one.
Or
- The right plane has not reached the correct angle for
applying weights.
When this happens the correct weight is
displayed and a series of variable numbers
appears at the top of the display indicating
in which direction the measuring rod must
be moved to reach the correct weight
application position.

Funcionamiento
Modo aplicación pesos HWM:
Ver Figura 5.3.4-6.
Para aplicar pesos adhesivos se debe usar el brazo de
medición.
• Coloque el peso adhesivo en el brazo de medición.
Consultar Figura 5.3.4-7.
• Tras haber bloqueado la rueda en la posición WAP
correcta, coloque el brazo de medición en el punto
de referencia del plano izquierdo.
Nota:
En la pantalla de la derecha aparecerá la
indicación de la dirección en la cual se debe
girar el brazo, de modo que se alcance el
punto de aplicación del peso. Cuando se
halla alcanzado la posición 0 (cero), tanto el
indicador de la cantidad de peso como el
led de posición del peso parpadearán para
indicar que el peso debe ser aplicado en
ese momento.
• Aplique el peso girando el brazo hacia la llanta.
• Ahora deberá decidir si quiere usar el Modo Peso
Dividido. (Consultar Capítulo 5.4.1).
• Gire la rueda hacia la otra u otras posiciones WAP,
aplique el peso adhesivo en el brazo de medición y
aplique el peso en el punto de referencia del plano
derecho.
Nota:
Si se cambian los puntos de referencia,
coloque el brazo de medición en su posición
inicial. Seleccione Offset para volver a situar
el brazo de medición en el Modo Introducción
Datos. Introduzca los dos puntos de
referencia del plano. Cuando haya llevado a
cabo las indicaciones expuestas hasta
ahora, apique los pesos.
Nota:
Cuando se extrae el brazo interno,
normalmente se visualizan los datos, a
menos que:
- El plano izquierdo no haya alcanzado la posición
angular de aplicación del peso y éste sea
un peso adhesivo.
O
- El plano derecho no haya alcanzado la posición
angular de aplicación del peso.
Cuando esto suceda, se visualizará el peso
adecuado y aparecerá en la otra pantalla una
numeración variable para indicar la dirección
en la cual se debe mover el eje del brazo
con el fin de localizar la posición de
aplicación del peso justa.
