Probable causes
1.1. The motor is not being powered.
1.2. The selector switch is in the OFF position.
1.3. The automatic monitoring devices of the
system or motor are not enabling operation.
2.1. Fuses of inadequate setting.
2.2. Insufficient electrical insulation.
2.3. Broken power cable.
2.4. The mains voltage value does not correspond to
that of the motor.
3.1. Full voltage is not reaching all phases of the
motor.
3.2. Unbalanced power draw on all phases.
3.3. Abnormal power draw.
3.4. Incorrect relay setting.
3.5. The rotor of the unit has jammed.
3.6. The mains voltage value does not correspond
to that of the motor.
4.1. Incorrect relay setting.
4.2. Mains voltage too low.
4.3. Unbalanced power draw on the phases.
4.4. Abnormal power draw.
4.5. High temperature in the electric panel.
4.6. The motor is turning in the wrong direction.
5.1. Excessive rotation speed.
5.2. The unit is unable to turn freely owing to friction
points.
5.3. The unit is not perfectly aligned.
5.4. The packing gland is too tight.
5.5. Excessive flow rate.
Remedies
1.1. Make sure that the motor is powered.
Check that the electrical equipment is in a
good condition.
Make sure that the equipment is receiving
power.
1.2. Select the ON position.
1.3. Wait until the correct operative conditions
have been restored or check the efficiency of
the automatic devices.
2.1. Replace with fuses of an adequate type.
2.2. Measure the insulation resistance with an
ohmmeter.
Overhaul or replace the electric motor if
necessary.
2.3. Repair or replace the cable as necessary.
2.4. Replace the motor or check the power
supply.
3.1. Make sure that the electrical equipment is in
a good condition.
Make sure that the terminals are screwed
tight. Check the mains voltage.
3.2. Check the phase unbalance as indicated in
paragraph 5.5 "Electrical connections and
information".
Overhaul or replace the electric motor if
necessary.
3.3. Make sure that the star or delta connections
are correct.
check the pumping flow rate. If excessive,
reduce it by means of the delivery pipe sluice
valve.
3.4. Make sure that the setting amperage is correct.
3.5. Disconnect the power source and attempt to
manually release the rotor.
Send the unit to an authorized After-Sales
Service center if necessary.
3.6. Replace the electric motor or check the
mains supply.
4.1. See 3.4.
4.2. Check for leaks along the main.
Contact the Electricity Board if necessary.
4.3. See 3.2.
4.4. See 3.3.
4.5. Make sure that the relay is at compensated
ambient temperature.
Protect the electric control panel from the sun
and heat.
4.6. Reverse two of the three phases.
5.1. Regulate the internal combustion engine.
Make sure that the pump - electric motor
combination has been correctly selected.
5.2. Send the pump to an authorized After-Sales
Service center.
5.3. Check alignment as indicated in paragraph
5.3 "Mechanical connections".
5.4. Adjust the packing gland by working evenly
on both nuts in order to ensure a slight drip
during operation.
5.5. check and, if necessary, reduce the flow rate
by means of the delivery pipe sluice valve.
