4- Fit the lifting eye-bolts supplied into each of the 4 threaded holes in the corners
of the machine body (see Fig. C/1) screwing them down until they are touching the
body.
5- Fit a looped lifting sling of suitable capacity into each of the 4 eye-bolts,
placing the slings as shown in Fig. C/2.
N.B.: The 4 slings must be of the same length, and long enough to reach up
above the top of the tyre changer itself.
6-Fit the 4 lifting slings onto the forks of a fork-lift truck as shown in Fig. C/3, then
move the tyre changer into the chosen working position.
N.B. : The tyre changer is placed on the pallet with the working beam already in the
position where the weights are properly balanced.
N.B. : It does not matter whether the tyre changer is lifted from the right or the
left.
WARNING: fit the slings so that they do not interfere with
parts of the tyre changer during lifting.
In particular, protect the filter-lubricator unit by tilting the
sling which is to be fixed next to it slightly.
N.B.: A small crane or hoist with suitable lifting capacity can be used instead of a
fork-lift truck.
In this case, the four slings should be attached to a single lifting point as shown
in Fig. C/4.
7- Remove the lifting slings and remove the eye-bolts from the machine body.
1- Fit the grease cup support using the screws supplied with the machine (see Fig.
D/1).
2- If the GT300 accessory is installed:
fit the stand for installation of the Tubeless Inflation Device (see Fig. D/2).
6.4 COMPRESSED AIR CONNECTION
Connect the tyre changer to a compressed air system (with recommended operating
pressure at least 8 Bar) using the connection (1, Fig. E), with a compressed air hose
having inside diameter of 7-8 millimetres A.
N.B.: Check that the pressure gauge (2, Fig. E) on the filter/regulator unit is giving
a reading of at least 8 bar. Otherwise:
- check that sufficient pressure is being received from the workshop compressed air
system;
- pull the knob (3, Fig. E) of the filter/regulator unit up and check that it has been
turned fully clockwise.
WARNING!
The compressed air system pressure must never exceed the
value of 16 Bar.
