Diag Monitor Tests

It is appropriate to perform the diagnostic mon-
itoring test function following maintenance or
after erasing trouble codes.

These test results are not necessarily an indi-
cation of a defective component or system.
Vehicles without CAN BUS:
Display of test results only for emission-related
engine components and systems which are not
continuously monitored.
Vehicles with CAN BUS:
Display of test results for all emission-related
engine components and systems (both, continu-
ously monitored and not monitored).

The vehicle manufacturer is responsible
for the assignment of test and component
numbers.

On-Board Systems

With the "On-Board Systems" function, the
OBD 150 can check the operation of vehicle
components or monitor systems.

Some manufacturers do not allow the moni-
toring of vehicle systems (On-Board systems)
by diagnostic testers.
1. Switch on the ignition (position 2).
2. Connect the OBD 150 to the vehicle.
 Data are read.
3. In the diagnostic menu select
"On-Board Systems" with
and confirm with E.

The monitored On-Board systems are dis-
played.

Vehicle information

The "Vehicle information" function applies
to vehicle models manufactured in 2000 and
later vehicles conforming to OBD-II and is not
supported by all vehicles.
With the "Vehicle info" function, the OBD 150
can request and display the following data:

Vehicle identification number (VIN)
R
Calibration ID(s) recognized by the software
version in the vehicle control units
R
Calibration verification number(s) CVN(s)
R
IPT (In-use Performance Tracking) data
1. Switch on the ignition (position 2).
2. Connect the OBD 150 to the vehicle.
 Data are read.
3. In the diagnostic menu select
"Vehicle Information" with
and confirm with E.
 Different items of information are displayed
depending on the vehicle.
4. Select the vehicle information required and
confirm with E.

The vehicle information appears as a moving
message.
