Der WASH-250 kann auf einer festen, ebenen Flä-
che aufgestellt werden. Die Montageplatte (5) dazu
A
bei Bedarf abschrauben. Das Gerät lässt sich mit-
hilfe der Montageplatte aber auch kopfüber an einer
CH
Traverse montieren. Zur Befestigung werden stabile
Montageschellen benötigt. Die Schellen an den
Langlöchern der Montageplatte festschrauben und
zusammen mit dem Gerät an die Traverse. Die Mon-
tagestelle muss ausreichend stabil sein und eine
Last von min. 30 kg pro Gerät tragen können.
WARNUNG Wird das Gerät als schwebende Last
über Personen installiert, muss es
zusätzlich gesichert werden (z. B.
durch ein Fangseil). Die beiliegende
Schrauböse in die Gewindebuchse in
der Mitte der Geräteunterseite fest-
schrauben und an dieser das Fang-
seil anbringen. Das andere Ende des
Fangseils so befestigen, dass der
Fallweg des Gerätes nicht mehr als
20 cm betragen kann.

Bedienung
Das beiliegende Netzkabel an die Netzbuchse (7)
anschließen und den Stecker in eine Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) stecken. Mit dem Netzschalter (8)
das Gerät einschalten. Der Schwenkkopf und alle
Steuermotoren fahren in eine definierte Ausgangs-
stellung. Währenddessen zeigt das Display (9)
. Danach ist der WASH-250 betriebsbereit.
Nach dem Betrieb das Gerät mit dem Netzschalter
ausschalten.
Hinweis: Als Lichtquelle dient eine Entladungs-
lampe. Wird das Gerät nur kurz ausge-
schaltet oder nur kurz von der Stromver-
sorgung getrennt, leuchtet die Lampe
nicht sofort wieder auf. Sie muss erst
einige Zeit abkühlen, um erneut zünden
zu können.

Mounting

Attention
To prevent heat accumulation within the unit, select
the mounting place in such a way that a sufficient
air circulation will be ensured during operation.
The unit must have a minimum distance of 50 cm
to adjoining surfaces.
Never cover the air vents of the housing (e. g. by
curtains).
Always ensure a sufficient distance to easily
flammable material or material sensitive to heat.
The WASH-250 may be set up on a solid and even
surface. If required, unscrew the mounting plate (5).
However, by means of the mounting plate the unit
can also be mounted upside down to a cross arm.
For fixing, stable mounting clips are required. Tightly
screw the clips to the long holes of the mounting
plate, then screw the plate together with the unit to
the cross arm. The mounting place must be of suffi-
cient stability and be capable of carrying a minimum
load of 30 kg per unit.
WARNING If the unit is installed as a suspended
load above persons, it must additional-
ly be secured (e. g. by a safety rope).
Screw the supplied safety lug into the
thread jack in the centre of the lower
side of the unit and attach the safety
rope to it. Fix the other end of the safety
rope in such a way that the maximum
falling distance of the unit is 20 cm.

Operation
Connect the supplied mains cable to the mains jack
(7) and the plug to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
Switch on the unit with the power switch (8). The pan
head and all control motors will go to a defined start-
ing position while the display (9) will show
Then the WASH-250 is ready for operation. After
operation, switch off the unit with the power switch.

6.1 Musiksteuerung
1) Um den WASH-250 über das integrierte Mikrofon
(18) zu steuern, den Eingang DMX IN (15) nicht
anschließen. Wenn an ihm kein DMX-Steuer-
signal anliegt, leuchtet die gelbe LED MASTER
(13) und das Display (9) signalisiert die Betriebs-
art:
(Show 1),
(Show 3) oder
(Show 4).
Wichtig! Ist die Funktion Blackout eingeschaltet,
bleibt der Schwenkkopf in seiner Ausgangsposi-
tion und der Lichtstrahl abgeblendet. Zum Aus-
schalten der Funktion Blackout über das Menü:
a) Die Taste MENU (10) fünfmal drücken, so dass
im Display
(blackout mode) erscheint.
b) Die Taste ENTER (12) drücken. Das Display
blinkt und zeigt
tet).
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP (11) auf
(no blackout) umschalten.
d) Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER drücken.
Das Display zeigt für einige Sekunden
Danach erscheint wieder die Betriebsart. Wird
die Taste ENTER nicht innerhalb von 8 Se-
kunden betätigt, schaltet das Gerät auf die
vorherige Einstellung zurück.
2) Die Betriebsart Show 1 ist für die Aufstellung des
Gerätes auf dem Fußboden vorgesehen. Der
vertikale Rotationswinkel (Tilt) beträgt hierbei
max. 210°.
Bei der Betriebsart Show 2, die für die De-
ckenmontage vorgesehen ist, beträgt der verti-
kale Rotationswinkel max. 90°.
Die Betriebsart Show 3 ist für die Aufstellung
des Gerätes auf einer Bühne in Richtung Publi-
kum vorgesehen. Der horizontale Rotationswin-
kel (Pan) beträgt dabei max. 160° und der verti-
kale max. 90° (60° oberhalb des Horizontes und
30° unterhalb des Horizontes)
Bei der Betriebsart Show 4, die wiederum für
die Deckenmontage vorgesehen ist, beträgt der
horizontale Rotationswinkel max. 160° und der
vertikale Rotationswinkel max. 90° (75° nach
vorn und 15° nach hinten).
Note: A discharge lamp serves as a light source. If,
for a short time only, the unit is switched off or
disconnected from the power supply, the lamp
will not immediately light up again. To be able
to ignite again, it must cool down for some time.
6.1 Music control
1) To control the WASH-250 via the integrated micro-
phone (18), do not connect the input DMX IN (15).
If no DMX control signal is present at this input,
the yellow LED MASTER (13) will light up and the
display (9) will show the operating mode:
(Show 1),
(Show 2),
(Show 4).
Important! With the function Blackout switched
on, the pan head will remain in its starting posi-
tion and the shutter is closed. To switch off the
function Blackout via the menu:
a) Press the button MENU (10) five times so that
the display will show
b) Press the button ENTER (12). The display will
flash and show
(blackout switched on).
c) Switch to
(no blackout) with the button
DOWN or UP (11).
d) To memorize, press the button ENTER. The
display will show
Then the operating mode will reappear. If the
button ENTER is not actuated for 8 seconds,
the unit will return to its previous adjustment.
2) The operating mode Show 1 is provided for
placing the unit on the floor. The maximum verti-
cal rotation angle (tilt) is 210°.
For the operating mode Show 2 provided for
ceiling mounting, the maximum vertical rotation
angle is 90°.
The operating mode Show 3 is provided for
setting up the unit on stage towards the audi-
ence. The maximum horizontal rotation angle

3) Den Regler SENSITIVITY (17) für die Mikrofon-
(Blackout eingeschal-
empfindlichkeit so einstellen, dass die Dynamik
der Musik optimal durch die Bewegungen des
Lichtstrahls und den Wechsel der Farben wieder-
gegeben wird. Die größte Empfindlichkeit ist bei
ganz nach rechts gedrehtem Regler eingestellt.

Wenn eine Farb- oder Bewegungsänderung
durch ein Musiksignal erfolgt, leuchtet jeweils
kurz die grüne LED SOUND (13) auf.
Hinweis: Bei Veränderung der Lautstärke an der
Musikanlage muss auch die Mikrofonempfind-
lichkeit über den Drehregler entsprechend ange-
passt werden.
6.1.1 Zusammenschalten mehrerer WASH-250
(Master/Slave-Betrieb)
Es lassen sich mehrere Geräte zusammenschalten,
um so über das Mikrofon des Hauptgerätes (Master)
alle weiteren Nebengeräte (Slaves) im gleichen
Rhythmus zu steuern.
1) Den Anschluss DMX OUT (14) des Hauptgerätes
über ein 3-poliges XLR-Kabel (z. B. Serie MEC-...
oder MECN-... aus dem Sortiment von „img
Stage Line") mit dem Anschluss DMX IN (15) des
ersten Nebengerätes verbinden.
2) Den Anschluss DMX OUT des ersten Neben-
gerätes mit dem Anschluss DMX IN des zweiten
Nebengerätes verbinden usw.

set with the control at the right stop.
Each time the colour or the movement is
changed by a music signal, the green LED
for a few seconds.
SOUND (13) will light up shortly.
Note: When changing the volume of the music
system, the microphone sensitivity must be
adapted accordingly via the rotary control.
6.1.1 Interconnecting several WASH-250 units
(master/slave operation)
Several units can be interconnected in order to con-
trol all further slave units to the same rhythm via the
microphone of the master unit.
1) Connect the output DMX OUT (14) of the master
unit via a 3-pole XLR cable (e. g. series MEC-...
or MECN-... from the „img Stage Line" product
range) to the input DMX IN (15) of the first slave
unit.
