7 Service and maintenance

Every technical appliance requires regular service to maintain correct functioning.

Replace Hydro Shield cartridge
Replace Hydro Shield head
and pressure hoses

appliances.

8 Troubleshooting

furs up too quickly
Hygienic care when handling the Hydro Shield system should
therefore be a matter of course. Clean the outside of the
Hydro Shield system regularly with a damp cloth and work
cleanly when replacing the filter cartridge. Avoid using
corrosive chemicals and cleaning agents.
Daily
Regular check for breaks and pinch points. Broken hoses
must be replaced.
After 12 months at the latest (regardless of the residual
capacity); after a shutdown period of 4 weeks or more.
After 5 years
Cause
Water intake or other check

Filter not fully screwed into

Filter head fitted incorrectly
System pressure is too low
Foreign particles deposited
in Aquastop
Faulty seal

Troubleshooting
Test check valves and open
if necessary
Unscrew filter by ½ rotation and reinsert as far
as it will go
Check flow direction (direction of
arrow on filter head) and reverse
if necessary
Check system pressure
Flush system with built-in filter
Check seal, replace if necessary
Cloudiness disappears after
approx. 5 min.
Check total hardness and filter capacity, fit
new filter cartridge if necessary
