Press the lifting mechanism (3) down

until it snaps in. The indicator lamp on
the button (25) lights up and toast-
ing starts automatically.
After toasting is completed, the appli-

ance switches itself off automatically
and the lifting mechanism returns to
its original position.
Turn the buns over and push down
‹
the lifting mechanism (3) to switch on
the toaster again.
If you no longer require the bun rack
‹
(2), pull the button for the bun rack
(22) upwards to fold in the bun rack.
Kettle
General instructions
■ Observe the filling level indicator (8).
Do not fill up over the MAX mark and
not under the MIN mark.
■ The kettle does not automatically
switch off if the lid is not closed.
■ You can interrupt water boiling at any
time by moving the ON/OFF switch (6)
to the "0" position or lifting the appli-
ance out of the socket.
WArNING
Danger of burns!
► Only hold the kettle with the handle
(7) since it can become very hot.
Using the kettle
Remove the kettle (9) from the socket

Fill the tank with the desired amount

Close the lid of the kettle (4) and allow

it to snap in.
Put the kettle onto the socket (10).

Switch on the appliance by moving

the ON/OFF switch (6) to "1". The red
lamps in the water level indicator (10)
light up and the water is heated. As
soon as the water is boiled, the kettle
switches itself off and the power indi-
cator extinguishes.
resetting the boil-dry safety protection
If you inadvertently allow the kettle (9) to
boil dry, the boil-dry protection switches
off the kettle. The power indicator extin-
guishes.
To reset the boil-dry safety protection, pro-
ceed as follows:
Allow the kettle (9) to cool down.

Pour fresh water into the kettle.

Continue to use the appliance as usual.

Coffee machine
General instructions
■ To measure the desired quantity of wa-
ter, there are cup marks on the water
tank (11).
■ Always use fresh, cold, non-carbonat-
ed mineral water or tap water. Never
put other foodstuffs into the water tank
(11).
■ Observe the filling level indicator (11)
on the water tank. Do not overfill!
■ Thanks to the permanent filter (18), fil-
ter paper is us not necessary. Remove
and clean the permanent filter after
each use. Paper filters size 4 ca be
used instead of permanent filters.
■ If possible, use freshly ground coffee
powder to assure optimum flavour.
■ Clean and descale the coffee ma-
chine regularly as described in the
section Cleaning and maintenance
(page 26). A dirty and/or scaled coffee
machine impairs the aroma.
