2 | General information
2.1 | Reading and keeping the instructions for use
These instructions apply to chain and sprocket kits in general. They contain
important information on installation, maintenance, safety and warranty.
Motorcycle chains are technically sophisticated heavy-duty components, which
are subjected to high transmission forces and rotational speeds, thermal loads,
dirt and wet.
Read these instructions carefully, in particular the safety instructions, before the
chain and sprocket kit is replaced. Failure to follow these instructions can lead to
serious injury and/or damage to your vehicle.
The instructions are based on the standards and regulations applicable in the
European Union and reflect the current state-of-the-art technology. If abroad,
you should also observe country-specific guidelines and laws. Keep these
instructions for future reference. If you do not install this chain and sprocket kit,
but instead pass it on to a third party, be sure to include these instructions with it.
