A heavily soiled, sandy chain has to be cleaned with special chain cleaner before
it is re-greased. Dirt is abrasive and thus contributes to wear.
An automatic chain oiler is recommended for frequent riders – it carries out the
work on its own and considerably increases the service life of the chain.

8 | Warranty

This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use for
anything other than the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident,
tampering or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons or customer service
departments.

9 | Disposal

Dispose of packaging material and the product itself according to
applicable local regulations.
Possible causes and remedies
Check that the sprocket and chain wheel are fitted
correctly. The sprockets may also show signs of
considerable wear on one side. Also check that the
chain and rear wheel are properly aligned.
Chain tension was too high and possibly the chain
was not well lubricated/cleaned. Check the chain
tension. Under load, the chain slack should be
approx. 2-3 cm on the bottom run.
Chain tension is too low or the slack is uneven.
Check the chain tension. Under load, the chain slack
should be approx. 2-3 cm on the bottom run. Rotate
the wheel through 360 degrees – the chain must not
have stretched unevenly.
