3.4.4 SUMP OIL FILLING
WARNING: Always make sure there are no oil leaks; if necessary disconnect the electric power and tighten the
loose connectors. How to lift the saddles:
1) Unscrew the oil-sump plug (9 Fig.12) and pour into the tank (10 Fig. 12) 7 litres of hydraulic oil ESSO NUTO H32 or the equivalent (ISO VG 32).
2) Press the "UP" button (22 Fig .2) and keep it pressed until the saddle P1 has reached approx. 50 cm height.
3) Position the arms (6 Fig. 2) close to the saddles (4 Fig. 2) so that the arms (6 Fig. 2) are mounted with the toe safety guards (14 Fig. 2)
facing away from the lift.
4) Mount the two arms on the raised saddle using the pin (2 Fig. 14), locking it at the ends with two retaining rings (3 Fig. 14). Pay careful attention to place the
anti-rotation arm safeties (5 Fig. 14) properly when mounting them: the safeties must have the toothed sector towards the rack (4 Fig. 14) of each arm. By
pulling the knob upwards (5 Fig. 14) you can temporarily exclude the anti-rotation arm safeties.
5) Press the "UP" push-button (22 Fig. 2) and continue pressing it until the saddle P1 reaches its maximum height. At this point, fill the tank up with 3 more
litres of oil.
6)
Press the UP button (22, fig. 2) again until Saddle P1 is at a height of approximately 50 cm.
7)
Fit the arms to the saddle of the column P2 repeating the operations indicated at point 4.
8)
Push again the "UP" button(20 Fig.2) until the saddle P2 reaches the maximum elevation. After this operation keep the button pressed for
10÷ 15 seconds to purge the air inside the system.
3.4.5 SADDLES ALIGNMENT
3.4.5.1 ALIGNEMENT BY START OF OPERATION
1) Press the DOWN push-button (23 Fig. 2) bringing down the saddles to the minimum height.
2) Press the "UP" button (22 Fig. 2) until both saddles reach the maximum height.
3) After 5 ÷ 10 minutes of rest which allows the separation of any air within the oil, repeate the UP-DOWN cycle as shown in steps 1) and 2) to make sure that
the safety devices function properly as described in this manual.
4) With completely lowered carriages, check the oil level and, if necessary, add more oil to reach the proper level, that is 2 ÷ 3 cm below the oil filling hole.
DANGER: beforer lifting any vehicle, after installation of the lift and after all maintenance work on the hydraulic system, it is
mandatory to check the correct function of the saddles alignement safety device as described under 5.1.3.
The saddles alignement operation is very important to grant the correct function of the lift and the operator's safety and
should be carried out by qualified and responsible personnel only.
3.4.5.2 ALIGNEMENT DURING OPERATION
During the normal use the saddles alignement is maintained automatically by the oleodynamic system of the cylinders in series
with the extravasation circuit. Notwithstanding it is compulsory to carry out the saddles alignement every time you notice a
slight height difference between the two carriages, press the "UP" button (22 Fig. 2) until both carrages reach the maximum
height. Keep the button pressed for a few seconds. (This operation is possible to make during the normal use with the vehicle
loaded on the lift on condition that, the disalignment between carriages must be maxim 3÷4 cm). Then proceed with the lowering
operation.
CAUTION: Durig this stage control that the carriages disalignment remains the same.
DANGER: it is forbidden to use the lift if, after the saddles alignement operation, the lifting arms are rapidly going out of
alignement.
