2.4. Safety Instructions
Technical condition
■ Before use, always check the pressure spray gun for proper function
and for any leaks.
■ Visually inspect the pressure cup for damage or deformation.
■ Never use the pressure spray gun if damaged or if parts are missing.
■ Always replace the plastic pressure cup after 2 years of use.
■ In the event of damage, immediately discontinue use of the pressure
spray gun and disconnect it from the compressed air circuit.
■ Observe safety precautions.
Cleaning media for cleaning the pressure spray gun
■ Never clean the pressure spray gun with cleaning media that contain
acids or lye.
■ Never use halogenated hydrocarbon based cleaning media.
■ Contact the cleaning media manufacturer to clarify which chemicals are
used in the cleaning media.
Cleaning agents and preservatives
■ When using cleaning media, such as cleaners for vehicle exhaust sys-
tems, use only the variant with the plastic pressure cup.
■ Aluminum pressure cups are recommended when using preservatives,
such as wax or underbody sealant.
Connected components
■ Use only genuine SATA replacement parts or accessories.
■ The connected hoses and lines must reliably withstand the expected
thermal, chemical and mechanical load requirements when operating
the pressure spray gun.
■ Disconnecting pressurized hoses can cause them to move in a whip-
like manner, resulting in injuries. Always bleed the hoses completely
before removal.
Operating site
■ Never use the pressure spray gun in areas near ignition sources, such
as open flames, burning cigarettes or electrical equipment that is not
explosion proof.
General
■ Never point the pressure spray gun at animals (including humans).
■ Comply with local regulations concerning safety, accident prevention,
occupational safety and environmental protection.
