Dismantling and cleaning
the thermostatic valve
(Models with thermostatic mixer)
The thermostatic valve is provided with mesh filters, to trap any
impurities in the water.
Over time, these filters could become clogged and, therefore, in-
hibit the functions of the mixer tap; to clean the valve, remove it
in this way:
I
Turn off the water supply (hot and cold) to the shower enclo-
sure.

Drain the water present in the mixer unit by turning
the diverter ring (5) to the symbol "under seat outlet" and open
the stop tap (3) completely; however, a little water will remain
inside the brass part. After emptying the mixer unit, close the stop
tap by turning the dial to the previous position.

Ease out the thermostatic valve (8) the brass ring
(9) and the cylinder (10).
Clean the mesh filters with a little brush and rinse; if scale is p-
resent, wash with specific products.
Reassemble the various components following the same pro-
cedure backwards; also follow these instructions:
- the stop tap knob (3) must be in a vertical position (closed posi-
tion).

in the brass casing.
WARNINGS
I
Never leave unsupervised children inside a combina-
tion tub/shower, especially when the "vertical hydro-
massage" or the "tub massage" is in operation.
I
Jacuzzi
®
hydromassage products must always be ex-
clusively used in indoors for domestic or similar use.
I
It is dangerous for a person inside the tub to use de-
vices connected to the electrical network: no electrical
devices must be accessible from the tub.
I
Do not use the water at temperatures over 40°C.
I
Be careful when using the hydromassage alone: pro-
longed submersion in hot water can cause nausea, dizzi-
ness and fainting.
If you intend to use the hydromassage for long periods,
make sure that the water temperature is lower.
I
Do not use the Twin Tower/Aulica Twin after drinking
alcohol, taking drugs or medicines that cause drowsi-
ness or that can raise/lower the blood pressure.
I
While using the hydromassage, keep your head at a
distance of at least 40 cm from the suction inlet; long
hair should be tied up.
Do not start up the hydromassage if the suction inlet
cover is not in position.
Do not point the hydromassage jets towards the suction
inlet.
I
We recommend that you fill the tub with water that is already
mixed, to a maximum temperature of 60 °C (that is, do not fill
with boiling water and then cold water), to prevent damage to
hosing and to reduce scale deposits.
I
After using the shower area functions, turn off the mixer and
turn the diverter dial to the "tub filling" position (
If you have a thermostatic mixer, turn off the water stop tap and
then turn the dial to below 38 °C.
I
ALWAYS remember to turn off the hydromassage before
emptying the tub; after use also turn off the section switch in-
stalled on the tub power supply line (see "Electrical Safety"
chapter).
