The "Genium Protector" is referred to simply as the protector/product below.
These instructions for use provide you with important information on the use, adaptation and
handling of the product.
Instruct the patient in the proper use and care of the protector. The product may not be trans­
ferred to the patient without prior instruction.
Only put the protector into use in accordance with the information provided in the accompanying
documents supplied.

2 Product Description

2.1 Design
The protector consists of the following components:

The protector provides a means of enclosing the Genium electronic knee joint, including the tube
adapter, to enhance its appearance and function. The housing of the knee joint is protected
against external influences by the protector, e.g. scratching and surface contamination. The pro­
tector is not required for the proper and safe functioning of the joint.
