Valve function symbols will not be applicable when the
main air supply is through ports 3 and 5:
– A 3/2-way valve, normally open, will function as a 3/2-way
valve, normally closed.
– A 3/2-way valve, normally closed, will function as a 3/2-
way valve, normally open.
– On 5/3-way and 5/2-way valves the solenoid/LED 14 will
be assigned to pneumatic port 2 and the solenoid/LED 12
will be assigned to pneumatic port 4.
Port 1 is always available on the connection piece (1) and on the
end plate (3).
Ports 3 and 5 are always available on the connection piece and
may also be present on each individual subbase (2) or end plate
(3) depending on how the valve system is configured. See Fig. 3.
The working ports 2 and 4 are always present on each individual
subbase (2).
