Start/stop operation

To operate E-PAK 500, use the buttons and switches on the control panel, see Figure 9.
To start the unit, turn the standby and reset switch to position 1.
If a PS cable is connected to E-PAK 500, the unit will automatically start when, for example, a

If there is not any PS cable connected, start the unit by pressing the manual start button.
To trigger a manual filter cleaning, press the manual filter cleaning button.
Always switch the standby and reset switch in the control panel to position 0 when work is over
for the day, even when the unit has automatic start and stop.

Fault signals
The control panel has a red fault indicator light, which will light up when a fault occurs, see
Figure 9.
The following standard faults will cause the red fault indicator light to light up:
The motor overload relay has tripped.
The fan thermal switch, see Figure 4, item 5, has tripped.
In addition, connected accessories, such as an external alarm input or a CAS, will also result in
a red fault signal.

Resetting fault signals

If the red fault indicator light lights up, the cause of the fault is to be investigated. See
Chapter '11 Troubleshooting' for instructions on how to identify the cause of the problem and
which actions to take.
To reset the control system, turn the standby and reset switch to position Reset. Restart the unit
