Adjust the Y/D timer K4T in order to increase or decrease the time-setting, see
Figure 12, item 3. To access the Y/D timer K4T, open the cover of the start and
control unit. Refit the cover of the start and control unit after adjustment.
9.2.3
Checking the automatic start and stop function
When switched to position 1, the lamp in the standby and reset switch should
light up indicating that the starter is in the standby mode and ready to receive a
signal from the PS cable.
In standby mode, the unit may be started by pressing the manual start button,
see Figure 12.
When a valve at a workstation equipped with a PS microswitch is opened, the
unit starts automatically. When the valve at the workstation is closed, the unit
switches over to idling mode and after a delay of approximately 30 seconds, a
filter cleaning operation is performed. The filter cleaning valve stays open.
After an additional time delay of approximately 10 minutes, the unit stops and
the filter cleaning valve closes.
The filter cleaning delay is set by the DIR time relay and the stop delay is set
by the SSR time relay.
9.2.4
Checking the filter cleaning function
Press the manual filter cleaning button, see Figure 12, and check that the filter
cleaning procedure starts. The filter cleaning valve is located at the top of the
filter housing under the enclosure. A distinct change in sound can be heard as
the valve releases atmospheric air into the filter, indicating that the function
works properly.
9.2.5
Checking the vacuum limiting valve
The vacuum limiting valve is located next to the side channel fan, see Figure 5,
item 5.
With the duct system completely closed, including all valves at all
workstations, check that the vacuum limiting valve (or both, if two are fitted)
opens and lets in air to limit the vacuum. An increase in vacuum will cause
the valve to lift and let air into the fan. Check that the valve moves freely and
allows air into the fan.
9.3
Operation
9.3.1
Start/stop operation
To operate E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DX, use the buttons and switches on
the control panel, see Figure 12.
To start the unit, turn the standby and reset switch to position 1.
If a PS cable is connected to E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DX, the unit will
automatically start when, for example, a valve at a workstation in the central
extraction system is opened.
If there is not any PS cable connected, start the unit by pressing the manual
start button.
To trigger a manual filter cleaning, press the manual filter cleaning button.
