5 Installation
▶
Connect the PE protective conductor to the PE plug ter-
minal.
Condition: Connection in a three-phase network
▶
Connect any two outer conductors (L1 and L2 or L1 and
L3 or L2 and L3) to the plug terminals N and L on the
alternating current plug.
▶
Connect the PE protective conductor to the PE plug ter-
minal.
19. Tighten the screw terminals.
–
Torque: 5 Nm
20. Check whether all conductors are mechanically fixed in
the plug's screw terminals.

21. Slide the plug into the plug housing.
22. Ensure that the plug audibly clicks into place in the plug
housing.
23. Tighten the union nut.

utility connection
24. Switch off the fuse at the utility connection.
25. Connect the alternating current cable to the utility con-
nection.

Preparing the direct current connection

Danger!
Risk of death from electric shock!
Direct current cables to photovoltaic modules
carry current even when the light incidence is
low.
▶
Ensure that the direct current cable is not
connected to the photovoltaic generator
before you work on it.
▶
Avoid contact with current-carrying parts.
▶
Wear suitable protective gloves.

Attaching the direct current plug connector
1. Ensure that there is no voltage at the cable.
2. Only use the supplied direct current plug or another
plug connector that has been approved by the manu-
facturer of the product.

The figure shows an example of the SUNCLIX direct
current plug "+".
3. If the supplied direct current plug is not currently open,
read the information on Opening the direct current plug
(→ Page 35).
4. Ensure that the direct current plug used matches the
polarity of the direct current cable.
5. Do not damage the inner conductor when you strip the
outer sheathing from the cable.
6. Strip the inner conductor approx. 15 mm.

7. Guide the stripped inner conductor with twisted strands
as far as they will go to the rear of the direct current
plug in accordance with the figure.

The twisted ends are visible in the spring (1).
8. Close the spring.
9. Check whether the conductor is mechanically fixed in
the plug. Remedy this if necessary.
10. Slide the plug housing over the plug.
11. Screw the housing for the direct current plug tight.
12. Attach the second direct current plug to the second
direct current cable in the same way.
Connecting the direct current cable to the photo-
voltaic generator
13. Ensure that the photovoltaic generator is not generating
current or is only generating a very low current.
Note
Cover the photovoltaic modules, for example
with fleece, or carry out the direct current
installation at night.
14. Connect the direct current cable to the photovoltaic
generator.
