Do not make any improper changes to the brace.

Always apply the brace according to the information in the instructions.
INFORMATION

The daily duration of use and period of application are generally determined by the physi
cian.
►
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by qualified personnel.
►
Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
►
Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional changes are noted (e.g.
worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Selecting the Size
50P10 Manu Immobil
The product is available in a universal size.
50P11 Manu Immobil Long
1) Measure the hand length from the tip of the middle finger to the carpus.
2) Determine the brace size (see size chart).
4.2 Adaptation
Optional: Cold shaping
Cold shaping of the brace up to a maximum of ±20° is possible in the area of the wrist joint and
finger joints. The areas that can be shaped on the underside of the brace are marked with
embossed lines (see fig. 1).
1) Position the brace on a plane, solid surface.
2) Cold shape the brace by up to ±20°. Avoid shaping multiple times.
Optional: Changing the strap closing direction
The brace is pre-configured for application on the right hand. When the brace is being used on
the left hand, the closing direction of the straps has to be switched.
1) Open all hook-and-loop closures on the straps.
2) Remove the pad. Loosen the pad on the hook-and-loop patches and pull the pad out of the
brace (see fig. 2).
3) Pull the straps out of the brace.
4) Turn the straps by 180° and reinsert them.
5) Reinstall the pad. In order to do so, slide the pad into the brace and fasten it on the hook-and-
loop patches.
Optional with 50P11 Manu Immobil Long: Positioning the finger strap
1) Remove the pad. Loosen the pad on the hook-and-loop patches and pull the pad out of the
brace (see fig. 2).
2) Slide the finger strap to the desired position on the underside of the brace.
3) Reinstall the pad. In order to do so, slide the pad into the brace and fasten it on the hook-and-
loop patches. This secures the finger strap.
