USE DE HEADLIGHT CENTERING DEVICE
2.1 -
Vehicle preparation
•
The vehicle should be prepared so that it reches the empty weight in
running order, as prescribed in ISO 1176 standards.
•
Release the trailer unless the vehicle is the semitrailer type.
•
Eliminate any excessive deposits of mud, snow or ice as could alter the
position of the vehicle.
Check that the headlights are clean and dry.
•

A driver weighing about 75 Kg should sit in the driving seat.
•
Check the tyres and inflate them to the pressure prescribed by the
manufacturer for normal road conditions.
•
For business vehicles or those used for collective passenger transport
where the transported load is generally inside the vehicles themselves, it
is advisable for the vehicle to maintain its load in the normal position
within the vehicle.
•
Set vehicles with pneumatic suspensions in normal driving conditions.
•
Set, if there are inside the passenger compartment, all position
correcting devices in the position corresponding to the vehicle with
normal load (0).
•
Drive the vehicle to the platform and slowly stop it in the vehicle testing
position, setting the steering wheel to the straight-line driving position.
