SATAjet 3000 K (RP/HVLP) Operating Instructions
■ Remove spring and paint needle [9-1].
■ Remove trigger [9-2].
■ Unscrew locking screw [10-1] and remove from gun body.
■ Pull air micrometer [10-5] out of gun body.
■ Remove air piston with air piston spring [10-4].
■ Remove air piston rod [10-3].
■ Unscrew self-adjusting seal [10-2] and remove from gun body.
Installing the self-adjusting seal
■ Screw in self-adjusting seal [10-2].
■ Insert air piston rod [10-3] into correct position.
■ Grease air piston with air piston spring [10-4] and air micrometer [10-
5] with SATA gun grease (# 48173) and insert.
■ Press air micrometer [10-5] into gun body.
■ Screw in locking screw [10-1].
■ Attach trigger [9-2].
■ Insert spring and paint needle [9-1].
■ Screw adjustment screw [1-2] with counter nut [1-3] into gun body.
After assembly, set the material flow rate as instructed in Chapter 8.2.
9.6. Replacing the spindles of the round/flat fan control
Replacement is necessary if air escapes at the round/flat fan control or
adjustment of the fan pattern is no longer possible.
Remove spindle
■ Unscrew counter-sunk screw [11-2].
■ Pull off control knob [11-3].
■ Use SATA universal wrench to unscrew spindles [11-4] and remove
from gun body.
Attaching the spindle
■ Use SATA universal wrench to screw spindle [11-4] into gun body.
■ Position control knob [11-3].
■ Coat counter-sunk screw [11-2] with Loctite 242 [11-1] and screw in
until hand tight.
10. Care and Storage
Careful handling and regular care of the product are required to guaran-
tee the proper function of the paint spray gun.
■ Store the paint spray gun in a dry location.
■ Clean the paint spray gun thoroughly after each use and before every
paint change.
