8.1. Initial Operation

■ Purge compressed-air line and rinse paint line thoroughly prior to as-
sembly.
■ Flush paint passage with suitable cleaning agent.
■
■ Adjust air nozzle.

8.2. Normal Operation
Connecting the paint spray gun
■ Attach material coupling [2-11] and paint hose [2-10].
■ Connect compressed air hose [2-9].
Adjusting the spray gun internal pressure
Information!
For adjustment options [3-2], [3-3] and [3-4] the air micrometer [1-4]
must be fully open (vertical position).
Information!
For the best accuracy, the spray gun internal pressure can be set using
the SATA adam 2 [3-1].
Information!
If the required gun input pressure is not present, increase the pressure
in the compressed air circuit.
Excess input pressure will cause excess removal forces.
■ Pull trigger [1-10] all the way off.
■ Adjust the gun input pressure according to one of the following adjust-
ment options [3-1], [3-2], [3-3] to [3-4]. Adhere to the maximum gun
input pressure (see 7).
■ Move the trigger to the start position.
