1. GENERAL
These instruction is meant to be complementary to the
leaflet of the SCX/DCX - SXM/DXM light commercial
application (NMS N° 2037364).
1.1 Applications
The motor head allows to replace on site the defect motor
and impeller. The impeller is supplied already fixed to the
motor shaft.
2. SAFETY
Read this instruction carefully before installing and starting
up. Pay special attention to the points concerning the
safety of the equipment as regards the intermediate or final
user.

3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
When receiving the material, check that there has been no
damage during the transport. If any defect has been stated,
take the required steps with the carrier within the allowed
time.
If the delivered material is to be installed

later on, store it in a dry place and protect it
from impacts and any outside influences (humidity, frost,
etc...)
4. PREPARATORY WORK
Switch-off plant and secure against unauthorized
switching.
- Close suction and discharge isolating valves.
- Protect electrical components from drain water.
- If water temperature is high, avoid any water eruption.
Grave risks of scalding.
5. DISMANTING MOTOR HEAD
- Undo and remove the four fixing screw (item 1) and
remove the cover module.
- Remove wiring connections to terminals.
- Undo the cable gland at the motor module box (item 2).
- Remove power cable.
- Undo the four Allen screws (item 7) and extract the motor
head (item 10) from pump body (item 6).

6. RE-ASSEMBLY OF NEW MOTOR-HEAD
- Place new o-ring (item 5) twist-free onto the edge of the
can flange (item 3) facing the impeller (item 4).
- Firmly press exchange motor (item 1) onto the seat of the
pump housing (item 6) and firmly secure by means of four
Allen screws (item 7).
- Re-insert power cable through the cable gland (item 2).
- Re-wire to terminals and tighten cable gland.
- Change the speed with the speed selector if needed.

7. COMMISSIONING
7.1 Filling and venting procedure
Carefully refill and vent the pipe system. The pump rotor
space will be automatically vented after a short operating
period. Short term dry-running will not harm the pump. If
however, a direct venting of the rotor space becomes
necessary. proceed as follow :
- Switch off the power supply to the pump.
- Close the discharge isolating valve.
- Remove rear end coverplat (item 8).
- Carefully open the vent plug (item. 9) with a SW5 key.
Depending on temperature of the water, hot water or
flash vapor may erupt. Grave risks of scalding.
- Protect electrical parts from possible water spary.
- Switch on the pump.
- Close vent plug again after approximately 15 to 30
seconds.
- Re-open isolating valve.
- Rotation check (for only three-phase motor) : good
rotation direction when green running light.
