9.4 Display

Sleep mode:
Sleep mode can be activated for the screen to avoid blinding effects, e.g. whilst driving at night. The
screen will be turned off in compliance with the setting if sleep mode is switched on. The screen can be
reactivated by touching it or automatically by an incoming call.
Brightness:
The brightness of the screen can be changed via the brightness menu. The following voice commands
can be used within the menu More, Less, Maximum and Minimum. Say Select to confirm the setting.
Day/night modes:
The touchscreen display can be switched manually for the use by day or by night. This setting is
controlled automatically by the integrated sensor inside the operating console in automatic mode.
Automatic mode is activated in the factory.
Calibration:
After the hands-free device has been in use for a long time, the touchscreen might need to be
recalibrated under certain circumstances, e.g., if the touchscreen commands are no longer implemented
correctly. A cross will be displayed on the touchscreen after you start the calibration process. Touch
the cross as accurately as possible and repeat the procedure until calibration has been completed.
9.5 Device
Accepting calls:
Accepting a call depends on the settings in the Manual, Automatic or Voice menus (Accept/Reject) voice
commands). With the automatic call accepting, the call is accepted after the third ring.
Language:
Choose the language that will be used for the screen display and the hands-free device's voice control
system from this menu.
Telephone book options:
The data is transferred from the telephone book (SIM card) and the address book (telephone memory)
to the hands-free device after the hands-free device has been switched on and the mobile telephone has
been linked up successfully.
Use the Load telephone book function to manually synchronise the telephone book again.
The telephone book entries can be sorted alphabetically according to the saved surnames or even first
names. Use the reverse names button to switch the sorting of the names from surnames to first names
and vice-versa.
System:
You can check the software version that has been installed via the menu system under Version Info.
A new software version can be loaded using Software Update if necessary or needed. Accessories are
needed for the software update that are not included in the kit. Therefore we recommend that a qualified
dealer loads software update for you.
You can reset all of the device's settings back to the factory default settings using Factory settings. All
of your personal settings and the telephone list will be deleted and the mobile telephone will have to be
relinked to the hands-free device afterwards.
