These instructions for use provide important information on the fitting
and application of the 50P50 Manu Junior and 50P51 Manu Junior
Pollex wrist supports for children.

2 Intended use

2.1 Indications for use
The support is intended exclusively for treating the upper limbs and
exclusively for contact with intact skin.
The support must be used according to the indication.
2.2 Indications
• Congenital malformations of the wrist/carpus
• Tendinopathy
• Ligament injury, ligament strain in the wrist
• Wrist instability
• Impingement syndrome
• Scaphoid pseudoarthrosis
• Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
• Irritation in the wrist area
• Wrist drop due to paresis or paralysis of the radial nerve
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
50P51 Manu Arexa Pollex additional indications
• Irritation and instability in the area of the thumb saddle joint

2.3 Contraindications
2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications
None known.
2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin
diseases/injuries, inflammation, prominent scars that are swollen, red­
dening and hyperthermia in the area treated; lymphatic flow disorders,
including unclear soft tissue swelling distal to the device; sensory and
circulatory disorders in the area of the forearm and the hand.

2.4 Mechanism of Action

The supports stabilize the wrist joint, and the 50P51 Manu Junior
Pollex also stabilizes the thumb joint.
