4. Insert the new drive shaft into the 960 Roll Groover.
NOTE! The drive shaft comes equipped with rear bearing.
5. Replace the bearing retaining plate.
6. Replace the four (4) #10 screws and torque them to
65 inch-pounds.
Removing and Installing Groove Roll
1. Remove the setscrew that holds the groover shaft in
place. (Figure 12)

2. Pull the groover roll shaft out of the slide block and
remove the groover roll.
3. Insert the new groover roll into the slide block.
4. Replace the groover roll shaft and the set screw.

Maintenance Instructions
Make sure machine is unplugged from power
source before making any adjustment.
Lubrication
Drive Shaft And Groove Roll Shaft Bearings
Lubricate with multi-purpose grease through fittings
located on groove roll shaft, slide block and base once
a month, and after every roll change. Apply light coat of
grease to feedscrew once a month.
Machine Storage
WARNING
indoors or well covered in rainy weather. Store the Roll
Groover and Power Drive in a locked area that is out of
reach of children and people unfamiliar with these tools.
This tool can cause serious injury in the hands of
untrained users.
