Keep the machine and mower assembly free

from the buildup of lawn, leaves and other
debris, which may burn when coming into
contact with the heated parts of the engine and
of the discharge.
Wipe off any oil or fuel splash before operating

or storing the machine.
Wait until the machine cools down before

storing.
Disable blades when crossing a surface with

gravel, tree roots or other obstacles.
Do not operate the tractor without the

assembled manifold, discharge guards and
other safety devices inserted and under
operation.
Be careful when loading or unloading the

tractor from a wagon, truck or transport deck.

5 - Operation on slopes

Slopes are the main places with risk of accident
from loss of control and tipping, which can result
in serious injury or death. Operation on slopes, in
general, requires special care. If you do not feel
safe, avoid mowing lawn in those areas.
Warning!
Operate the machine at the lowest possible speed
on slopes. Too heavy loads can be dangerous when
using the tractor on slopes. Tires can lose traction
and make you lose control of the tractor.
On slopes, try to mow the lawn up and down,

and do not move across the slope; see Image 1.
Drive the machine at low speed, so you do not

have to stop or shift gears on a slope.
Do not mow the lawn while it is wet, as the

tires may lose traction. Keep the machine in
gear when descending hills.

Warning!
Never go down slopes in neutral as you may lose
control of the tractor.
Avoid starting, stopping or curving on slopes.

If the tires lose traction, turn off the blades and
go down the slope slowly, in a straight line.
Scroll down the slope with slow and gradual

movements. Do not make sudden changes
in speed or direction, as it may cause the
machine to tip over.
Be very careful when operating with lawn

catchers and other accessories, as they can
affect the stability of the machine. Avoid using
accessories on very steep slopes.
Avoid stabilizing the machine by placing your

feet on the floor.
Do not use the machine in the vicinity of very

steep slopes, dams or ditches. The machine
may tip over if one of the wheels overcomes
the edge or if the edge yields.
Avoid making turns on slopes, except when

it is absolutely necessary; in that case, turn
slowly and gradually downward, if possible.
Try to mow the slope lawn with an up and

down route (maximum slope of 150) and do
not traverse them horizontally.
