Warning!
Whenever you hit the blades on an object, turn off
the engine, remove the ignition key, disconnect the
spark plug pipe and make sure it will not come into
contact with the spark plug. Check the equipment
thoroughly for damage. Repair damage before
restarting.
The following information will be valuable when
mowing lawn:
Do not mow lawn with the tractor at high
speed, especially when it is equipped with a
lawn catcher.
For a better result, it is recommended that in
the first two laps, the lateral exit points towards
the center. After the first two laps, reverse the
direction by pointing the side outlet to the
outside so as to balance the cut. This will give
a better look to the lawn.
Do not mow the lawn too low. Very low
lawn allows the growth of weeds and yellows
quickly in dry times.
The cutting must always be done with the
engine at maximum acceleration.
Do not try to cut thickets, weeds and
excessively tall lawn.
Keep the blades sharp and replace them when
worn.
When approaching trees, make sure there are
no roots above the ground. If you find exposed
roots, switch off the cutting blades and switch
on after passing through the roots.
Tire chains cannot be used when the cutting
deck is attached to the tractor.
The cutter should be properly level for best
cutting performance. See "Leveling the cutting
deck" in the Repairs and Adjustments section
of this manual.
Drive the tractor so that the mown lawn is
discharged into the area that has already gone
through the cutting. Keep the cutting area
always to the right of the tractor, as this will
result in a more balanced distribution of the
mow lawn and a more even cut.
When cutting large areas, start by turning to
the right so that the mown lawn is discharged
away from bushes, fences, driveways, etc. After
one or two laps, cut in the opposite direction,
making curves to the left until finished.
If the lawn is too high, it should be cut in
two steps to reduce the load and possible fire
hazards due to the already dry waste. Make a
relatively high first cut, and the second at the
desired height.
Avoid mowing wet lawn, as it will clog the
mower and leave undesirable chippings. Wait
for the lawn to dry before mowing it.
Always operate the engine at full throttle
when mowing lawn in order to ensure the best
cutting performance and proper unloading
of the cut material. Select a speed reduced
enough to provide good cutting performance,
as well as the desired cutting quality.
When operating with accessories, select a
speed that suits the terrain and provides the
best performance of the accessory in use.
