3.2 Initial use

Lay the electric underblanket smoothed out on your mattress with the
plug-in coupling roughly at shoulder level (see fi gure).
The electric underblanket can be used on both sides.
Make sure that the electric underblanket is always smoothed out fl at and
does not crumple or form folds during use. When making the bed, check
the position of the electric underblanket – it must only be switched on
when it is fl at and smoothed out. We recommend switching on the electric
underblanket approx. 30 minutes before going to bed and covering it with
the duvet in order to prevent heat loss.
Switch on the electric underblanket approx. 30 minutes before going to
bed and lay the duvet on top. This will prevent the heat from being lost.
First select the highest temperature setting (level 9). This produces the fastest warming

Then pull the side section over the sides of your mattress like a fi tted sheet. The electric under-
blanket is designed to fi t 90 x 200 cm as well as 100 x 200 cm mattresses. If the cable length is
insuffi cient, you can order a longer power supply cord with the material number 108.424 from
our specifi ed Customer Service. Then fi t your fi tted sheet as usual with the electric underblan-
ket positioned between your mattress and the fi tted sheet.
3.3 Switching on
Slide the ON/OFF switch [6] sideways [1] to the ON ( I ) position to switch on the electric under-
blanket.
When switched on, the display [2] lights up and at fi rst displays all the segments for approx. 2
seconds. After that, the following basic settings are displayed:
Temperature setting for body area: 0
Temperature setting for foot area: 0
Automatic switch-off time: 1 h (= 1 hour)
Note: The illuminance level drops after approx. 5 seconds so that your sleep is not disturbed
during the night.
3.4 Switching off
Slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF ( 0 ) position to switch off the electronic underblanket.
When switched off , the illumination and the display are turned off .
3.5 Setting the temperature
Press the button [3] to select the temperature setting for the body area.
Press the button [5] to select the temperature setting for the foot area.
