ARTEX
CR
SUPPORT IN INCLINED POSITION
The Artex
®
CR may be positioned on the table top
- front raised
OPEN CENTRIC
Lift (2) pivoting lever to stop. The centering axes
(2 semi-axes) are moved in, thus releasing the
centric.
The centric (3) is open. Fixation of the condyle
ball is suspended. The top part is released.
CLOSE CENTRIC
Move lever (4) downward to stop. The two semi-
axes are moved out until softly stopped against
the condylar centre, fixing the Artex top section
in central position.
Centric closed (5). Visible fixation on condylar
centre by the semi-axis.
CONDYLAR BOX
Horizontal condyle path inclination (6), Bennett
angle, ISS, protrusion and retrusion are individually
adjustable on the CR condylar unit. One glance
is enough. All values are checked and in view.
CONDYLE PATH INCLINATION (HCI)
Release HCI (7) set screw using allen key. Adjust
required angle by rotating condylar box (8), follo-
wed by locking the HCI adjustment with an allen
key.
Adjustment of HCI from -20° to +60°.
Read angle of inclination from front edge of rear
section (congruent with scale).
Fig.: HCI = +60°.
SETTING OF BENNETT ANGLE
Open centric. Release locking screw of Bennett
angle using allen key (9). The individually set
Bennett angle (-5° to +30°) may be read from
the scale.
Fig.: Bennett angle = 0°.
6
Rotate condylar unit (10) to required scale read-
ing by using the rotary knob, then lock with allen
key.
Fig.: Bennett angle = +30°.
IMMEDIATE SIDESHIFT (ISS)
Open centric. Release locking screw of Bennett
angle using allen key (11). ISS individually and infi-
nitely adjustable to 1,5 mm per side.
Push condylar unit (12) in mesial direction by
applying side pressure to the rotary knob until
the scale agrees with the required mm-reading.
Then lock screw for rotary knob using allen key.
Fig.: ISS = 1 mm
PROTRUSION
Whilst the centricity is open, the Artex top section
is protrusively guided over the adjustment claw
(13) by rotating the blue knurled screw in clock-
wise direction.
Protrusion (14) infinitely adjustable up to 6 mm.
Fig.: Protrusion = 6 mm.
(15) Example of individually programmed CR
condylar unit.
Bennett angle = 30°,
HCI = 60°,
Protrusion = 6 mm,
ISS = 1 mm
RETRUSION
(16) Open centric, release locking screw of retru-
sion insert using allen key.
Guide retrusion insert (17) to required individual
value, then relock using allen key.
Fig.: Retrusion = 2 mm.
Retrusively guide Artex top section (18) (based
on a Bennett angle = 0°) via the adjustment claw
by rotating the blue knurled screw in counter-
clockwise direction.
Fig.: Retrusion = 2 mm
