CLIPPER BLADE ADJUSTMENT
Your Andis adjustable clipper blade set is easy to adjust. From coarse to fine cuts,
all that is needed is a flick of the adjustment lever with your thumb. In the upright
position, the blades are set for the finest, or shortest cuts (Figure D).

USER MAINTENANCE

If clipper is not going to be used for a long period of time, store in a safe, cool, dry
place. Do not wrap adapter cord tightly around clipper. Do not hang the clipper by
the adapter cord.
The internal mechanism of your clipper has been permanently lubricated at the
factory. Other than the recommended maintenance described in this manual, no
other maintenance should be performed, except by Andis Company or an Andis
authorized service station. To contact Andis directly, please call our Customer
Support Team at 1-800-558-9441 or email us at support@andisco.com.
CARE AND SERVICING OF YOUR ANDIS CLIPPER BLADES
The blades should be oiled before, during, and after each use. If your clipper
blades leave streaks or slow down, it's a sure sign that the blades need oil. The
clipper should be held in the position shown in Figure E to prevent oil from getting
into the motor. Place a few drops of Andis Clipper Oil on the front and side of the
cutter blades (Figure F). Wipe excess oil off the blades with a soft dry cloth. Spray
lubricants contain insufficient oil for good lubrication, but are an excellent clipper
coolant. Discontinue use of broken or nicked blades to prevent injury. You can clean
the excess hair from your blades by using a small brush or an old toothbrush. To
clean the blades we suggest immersing the blades only into a shallow pan of
Andis Blade Care Plus while the clipper is running. Any excess hair and dirt that has
accumulated between the blades should come out. After cleaning, turn your clipper
off, dry the blades with a soft, dry cloth and start clipping again.
BLADE REMOVAL
TURN OFF CLIPPER. Turn clipper over and place on hard, flat surface so teeth of
clipper face down. Unscrew blade screws. Remove lower blade. Remove the upper
blade by pulling blade toward you and away from the body of the clipper. The
blade bracket will detach from the clipper, staying connected to the upper blade
(Figure G).
BLADE REPLACEMENT
To reinstall a new blade bracket, press new bracket firmly into the pin slots of the
upper blade. Once the bracket is in place, align the springs in the clipper into the
slots on the bracket and press firmly into the clipper (Figure H). Place lower blade
on top of upper blade, keeping tension on the upper blade at all times. Set the
blade gap of the upper blade to your preference, taking care that it does not
overhang the lower blade as this can cause damage to skin. Reattach the two blade
screws, once again confirming that the upper blade does not travel over the lower
blade while the lever arm is in the shortest (upright) position (Figure I).
