Do not reach in between the drive rollers and the wheel during operation – danger of crushing!
The AL-KO Mammut is only allowed to be used by adults.
No one is allowed to be in the caravan during manoeuvring.
The manoeuvring system
Do not use for manoeuvring or turning on public roads.
Do not operate if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
Particular hazard on uphill or downhill slopes:
Do not exceed the maximum permitted gradient.
Keep your distance from the caravan.
Always keep the drawbar pointing downhill.
Avoid hitching up and unhitching the caravan on a slope.
The drawbar can suddenly move vertically if driving over steps and other changes of level.
Working steps
The numbers in brackets in this section refer to figure 7.
1. Activate the drives and move the drives up to the wheels.
2. Check they advance correctly.
3. Release the parking brake on the caravan. Do not exceed the maximum permitted gradient!
4. To move the caravan, slowly move the joystick in the required direction.
In area (1), the caravan moves forwards. You can determine the speed and direction infinitely
variably using the joystick.
In area (2), the caravan moves backwards.
In the left and right positions (3 and 4), the caravan pivots on the spot in the specified direction
of rotation about its own axis.
The drives immediately stop when you release the joystick, and the caravan is braked.
5. Once the caravan is in the required position, apply the caravan's handbrake.
CAUTION!
The caravan may make a slight rocking movement when the drives are retracted, depending
on the last manoeuvre and the resulting stresses in the axles.
6. Move the drives away from the wheels.
Do not park the caravan with its axles stressed/locked up.
After performing tight cornering manoeuvres or pivoting on the spot, move the caravan
in a straight line forwards or backwards for at least 1 metre.
7. Hold the keys pressed (fig. 2 b, c, d and g) until the LEDs on the retract keys are flashing and the
operating status LED is continuously lit. Only then are all drives completely retracted.
8. Check whether the drives are correctly retracted.
9. Switch the remote control off at the master switch.

HITCHING UP THE CARAVAN

When you want to hitch up your caravan, you can use the AL-KO Mammut to manoeuvre the caravan
directly over the tow hitch.
