Chain Hoist are equipped with a self-braking
motor, and, should electricity input fail, the
motor will be instantly and automatically
blocked off.
- The incorrect renovation of the chain in the
electric chain hoists of two or more brunches can

4. OPERATOR LOCATION

The chain hoist operator must be normally
located at floor level, in such a way that, taking
the due precautions, his situation allows him at
all times to see the position of the chain hoist
and the load (or the gripping device of the
load) which is to be, or is in the process of being
manipulated, durin all the work movements to
be carried out with the chain hoist, and which
at the same time allows him to clearly anticipate
the course of the load, always keeping the
pushbutton control device under his direct
control.
If the operator does not have sufficient
supervision over the work area from his location,
the dangerous area will have to be blocked off,
or else a person must be available to direct,
supervise the work area, and this person must
be able to adequately communicate with the
operator at all times.
If works is to be effected at a height precautions
must be taken for the safety of the people who
are below it.

5. INITIAL USE

The electric chain hoist must be prepared for
initial use, when it is a new installation, or when
important modifications have been carried out,
only after having been inspected by qualified
personnel.
Qualified personnel are specialized fitters, as well
as specialist personnel form the manufacturing
company. Before initial use, we recommend that
you read maintenance instructions.

6. USE OR SERVICE

A) Control system

The electric hoist has a pushbutton control for
controlling the same (suspended control device),
which is directly connected to the hoist by means
of a hose, and whose control mechanisms are
made up of push buttons or ounted keys with
return to neutral position as soon as the operator
stops pushing them:
When pressing or touching on the push button,
or swivel mounted key, the chain hoist works in
the direction indicated, bye means of arrows, on
the push button or swivel mounted key, during
the time this is kept pressed.
In order to interrupt the function the chain hoist
is carrying out, stop pressing (free) the push
buttom or swivel mounted key.
B) Instructions for the Safe Operation of
the Chain hoist
1. Before using the chain hoist, please check the
following:
a) The load to be manipulated is lower than
the maximum load indicated o the plate of
characteristics of the chain hoist.
b) That the chain is in good condition, correctly
position (without knots or twists), and that it has
been lubricated.
