18. ELECTRIC CONNECTION
It is assumed that electric connection will be
carried out by a specialist, according to the
following instructions:
1. The electric chain hoist must count on general
protection against short circuits, located at the
entrance of the input cables to the electrical
equipment. Generally, this protection is located
at the origin of the general input cable of the
machine. Our advise is that this be located
on an easily accessible location for the chain
hoist operator. This device is used for effecting
connection/disconnection of the electric chain
hoist.
Note: This device is not supplied by the
manufacturer, and it is the responsibility of the user to
carry out the adequate installation.
2. Check that the voltage of the chain hoist is the
same as that for the nerwork input available at
your plant.
Note: The chain hoists leave factory with
the voltae conncted to three-phase 220/380 V , 230/400
V , and 240/415 V - 60 Hz
