4. Work the control system smoothly (push
button control) until the new chain is introduced
in the chain hook and, passing through the
aléolos of the nut, stand out approximately of
the chain hook 10 cm. Untie the elastic wire or
rope previously bundle to the old chain. And
work the control system (push buttom control)
to lower until the lowest position, so that the
end of hanging screw has a longirude of as
minimum 10 cm.
5. Secure the top part of the hanging chain with
screw (34), without twisting the chain.
6. Loose the combined revolvable hook of load
(60) of the old chain and place it to the new
chain. In the event of chain hook of 2 brunches,
to extract the old chain of the combined load
washer and to introduce the new chain.
7. Make sure that the links of the two ends of
new chain are positioned in the same sense (to
see drawing), because otherwise, the writhing of
the load chain will be caused, with risk of break
of the same one. If the chain in a erroneous way
has been introduced, the chain will be extracted
and introduce it of agreement with the previous
instructions again.
8. Grease the load chain. See the section 4, on
the type of oil to use.
9. Operate the chain hoist without a load, and
after with the rated load (or very similar) of the
same, in both directions (lifting and lowering),
observing the performance of the chain and nut.
The chain must pass gently through the nut in
both directions and in each case.
Should the chain clog, jump or if it becomes noisy,
verify that it is clean and properly lubricated.

If the anormaly persists after lubrication, it
is necessary to inspect the chain and other
related parts, following instructions of periodic
inspection of the load chain. If the anomaly
still persists, it is essential that the chain hoist
be inspected by a qualified person in order to
check and repair (if necessary), the rest of the
components which show signs of wear.
Situation or Installation of the Pick up Box.
Pre-installation verifications.
1. Use the pick up box supplied by the
manufacturer, and do not modify initial
dimensions of each box by any means.
2. The pick up box must be sufficiently big to
contain the whole length of the chain hoist
chain.
3. Once the whole of the chain has been
deposited on the pick up box, it must have a
minimum of 100 mm of free space, or height
between the enterance to the main body of the
chain hoist and the level ratched by the chain
inside the pick up box.
In order to install the chain hoist pick up box, do
the following:
1. Release the nut of the screw (46) which secures
the remainder of the chain to the supports that
protrude from the main chain hoist body (34).
2. Introduce the chain in the box, keeping the
end of the same outside the box.
3. Position the picking up box so that its
supports wraps the supports of the chain hoist,
maintaining the opening of the picking up box
toward the inside of the chain hoist, and so
that the picking up box an angle of 45 with the
vertical one (see position A in the drawing).
