Replacing the ALTAIR Pro Remote O 2 Sensor

1. Ensure the instrument is OFF.
2. Remove the sensor from the cable assembly by unscrewing the
fitting.
3. Attach the new sensor to the cable assembly and ensure that fitting
is tight and the O-ring (P/N 635511) is installed on the cable plug
before placement in the sensor.
4. The instrument MUST be calibrated as previously described. Allow
a minimum of 60 minutes after the new sensor is installed before
calibrating to ensure the new sensor reaches equilibrium.
The new replacement sensor must be the same part number
and type as the one being replaced; otherwise, improper oper-
ation will result.
Calibration is required after a sensor is installed; otherwise,
the instrument will not perform as expected and persons rely-
ing on this product for their safety could sustain serious
personal injury or death.
Conditions for Safe Use:
• Use a Lithium battery listed in Table 6-2 only.
• The maximum length of the remote sensor connecting
cable must not exceed 3.3 meters (10 feet).
