ELECtrICAL INStALLAtION AND CONNECtINg UP
Complete all mechanical installation before you start the installation of electrical components and connecting up.
Installation consists of the following steps:
FITTING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT (par. 3.1).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (par. 3.2 and 3.4).
Changing the OPENING SIDE (par. 3.3).
CONNECTING UP TO 230 V MAINS POWER SUPPLY (par. 3.2).
RECOGNITION of REMOTE COMMANDS (par. 4.1A or 4.1B) (can be performed at a later date).
SYSTEM START-UP, FUNCTIONING TESTS (par. 4.2).
PROGRAMMING AND ADJUSTMENTS (par. 4.3 and 4.4).
3.1
ELECtrIC SyStEM SEt-UP
Before you install components you should prepare the
electrical connections of the control and safety devices
of the system. Follow the instructions given in "fig. 2" , the
instructions given in this manual and the instructions given
on components already installed.

Warning
The system must only be installed
by skilled personnel qualified in compliance with the
regulations of the country of installation CEI 64 - 8 and
EN 60335-1 standards).
• For the motor power supply use a cable with 3 conductors
and a minimum section of 1.5 mm
current legislation. The section of the cable must be sized
in accordance with the length of the power supply line.
• Use cables with a minimum section of 0.75 mm² for
24 V DC devices.
IMPOrtANt! Always install, upstream of the line, a
mains switch which guarantees a multipole cut-off with
minimum contact opening of 3 mm (connect it to a 6 A
differential overload switch with sensitivity of 30 mA).
• Install an emergency button able to cut the power
supply to the system (located in a position do that the
person pressing the button can see the automation).

Warning
Switch OFF the mains power supply
before you start connecting up.
Make the connections as shown in Fig.4-par.3.4. Check that
the cables are connected to the correct inputs. Check that
the minimum cable section is as specified.

Warning
Faulty connections can cause equipment operating faults and may seriously damage the equipment.
Failure to connect up the equipment correctly will void your guarantee. Do not use intercom or telephone cable.
Strap the control connection cables (terminal board K2) and power cables (terminal board K1) separately.
The equipment must be earthed.
Check that the devices are earthed in accordance with the diagram shown in fig.3.
IMPOrtANt: complete all connections and checks before you connect up to the 50 Hz single-phase 230 v AC
mains power supply.

Warning
The unit is set to function with a right-hand opening barrier. A JUMPER must be set if a left-
hand opening barrier is installed (see par.4.3).
