Menu Descriptions
Type 3638 has two intuitive main menus: the main operation menu and the advanced settings
menu. You only need to access the advanced settings menu to adjust system parameters (lan-
guage, tolerances, measurement time, etc.), which is generally made before initial use of the
system. Descriptions of both menus are presented below.
Main Operation Menu
The main operation menu is available after switching on
measurement is finished or interrupted (press C).
The following settings and commands are selected here:

Measurement command
•
Printout
•
Background noise measurement command
•
Battery level (in percentage)
•
SLM (Sound Level Meter) calibration command
Advanced Settings Menu
The advanced settings menu is activated by pressing the up arrow
in the sound level meter calibration mode. The advanced settings menu can be accessed at any
time if changes to the system settings are required.
The following settings and modes are selected here:

Language selection

RPM tolerance setting

Run-up time setting
