6 Putting into operation
1
Coolant return hose
Fig. 6
Bleed the entire cooling system as follows when used for the first time and after every cable
assembly replacement:
1 Disconnect the coolant return hose (1) from the coolant recirculator (2) and hold it over a
collection receptacle.
2 Close the opening on the coolant return hose (1) and then re-open it by abruptly releasing
it. Repeat this process until the coolant flows into the collection receptacle continuously and
without air bubbles.
3 Switch off the coolant recirculator (2) and re-connect the coolant return hose (1).

6.3.1 Compressed air for plasma gas

• Precisely setting the compressed air pressure and volume is important for the pilot arc
ignition, cut quality and service life of the torch and wear parts.
 Tab. 3 Product-specific torch data (EN 60974-7) on page EN-5

6.3.2 Filtered compressed air free of oil and water

Only use compressed air which is free from dirt, oil and water.
We recommend:
• Initial filter with a 5 µm pore size
• Sub-micro filter with a 0.01 µm pore size
• 99.99% oil separation rate
• Air throughput at a flow pressure of 3.5 bar:
