6.2 Connecting the plasma cutting torch
NOTICE
• Make sure the connections are properly assigned and tightened.
• Since the plasma nozzle cannot be protected against direct contact for technical reasons,
the plasma cutting power source must fulfil the requirements of EN 60974-7, point 7.4.2.
• When used with the plasma power source, the plasma cutting torch must conform to
EN 60974-10.
• The plasma power source must also conform to EN 60974-1.
• The plasma power source and cutting torch must have the same type of ignition (contact
or HF) and the same output power (rated current and corresponding duty cycle).

6.3 Connecting the coolant
WARNING
Risk of burns
If the coolant level is too low, the plasma cutting torches will overheat.
• Wear the correct protective gloves.
• Check the coolant level at regular intervals.
NOTICE
• Ensure that the coolant supply and return hoses have been correctly installed. Coolant
supply = blue, coolant return = red.
• Do not use deionised or demineralised water as coolant or for leak and flow tests.
This may shorten your welding torch's service life.
• For liquid-cooled cutting torches, we recommend using ABICOR BINZEL BTC coolant.
Please consult the applicable safety data sheet.
