Sensor Calibration
h
Note: For best process calibration results observe the following points. Take grab sample as
close as possible to the measurement point of the sensor. Measure the sample at process
temperature.
Via display of the transmitter, configuration tool or asset-management-tool you can calibrate
the sensor with the "Process", "1-Point" or "2-Point" calibration method. For the calibration
methods see Operation Manual of the M400 PA transmitter. Via iSense software you can cali-
brate the sensor with the "1-Point" or "2-Point" calibrate method. See operating instructions of
the iSense software.
As soon as the calibration is in progress no other calibration can be started.
Sensor Calibration Menu
After every successful calibration the options "Adjust", "Calibrate" and "Abort" are available.
After selection one of these options the message "Re-install sensor and Press [ENTER]" ap-
pears.
After pressing [ENTER] the M400 returns to the Measurement mode.

Analog sensors
Calibration values are stored in the
transmitter and used for the measure-
ment. Additionally, the calibration val-
ues are stored in the calibration data.
The function "Calibrate" is not applica-
ble for analog sensors.
Calibration values are discarded.
ISM (digital) sensors
Calibration values are stored in the sen-
sor and used for the measurement. Ad-
ditionally, the calibration values are
stored in the calibration history.
Calibration values are stored in the cali-
bration history for documentation, but
not be used for the measurement. The
calibration values from the last valid
adjustment are further used for the mea-
surement.
Calibration values are discarded.
