"What should I do if..."
Check whether the power supply connectors are plugged in properly.
1. Check whether the cable was plugged in correctly.
2. Check the motor operation by pressing the "Motor" key on the control
panel.
3. If the problem is not remedied by steps 1 and 2, the motor is defective and
must be replaced.
Execute a RESET: Press the "System
on or press and hold it for 1 second during the welcome screen display.
Caution: If the unit switches off while the motor is running, this means that the
central unit is supplying the full amount of available power. Check the contra-
angle handpiece.
Perform the following test steps:
1. Make sure that the motor connector is plugged into the unit correctly.
2. Check the contra-angle handpiece for damage and for correct fastening to
the motor.
3. Remove the contra-angle handpiece, switch to maximum speed and restart
the motor.
4. Disconnect the contra-angle handpiece and perform calibration.
5. Connect the contra-angle handpiece and perform calibration.
6. If the problem is not remedied by the preceding test steps, the motor is
defective and must be replaced.

Cause
The mucosal electrode does not
have a sufficient contact to the oral
mucosa.
The file clamp may possibly be dirty.
The crown of the tooth is covered
with blood or chemicals which flowed
out of the canal and over the crown
and neck, thus establishing an elec-
tric contact with the gums.
The root canal is filled with blood or
electrolytic fluid.
The root canal instrument or contra-
angle handpiece is touching the
gums.

Solution
Attach the mucosal electrode so
that it has a good electric contact to
the oral mucosa.
Clean the file clamp with a cleaning
cloth moistened in alcohol.
Dry or electrically insulate the
crown.
Rinse the root canal and suck it dry.
Avoid contact or insulate the con-
tra-angle handpiece.
