Component Inspection
Labels
Ensure all labels are present and legible.
Snaphook
Operates properly and free of rust.
Housing
Check for cracks in housing.
Pawls
Check for wear on pawl tips, free of rust, and pawls move easily.
Pawl Spring
Check for kinks in spring.
Sperrad
Check for wear on the contact points with pawl tips.
Power Spring
Check for cracks in the power spring.
Cable
Check for cuts, abrasion, burn marks and inspect for broken filaments. Also check closely for kinking. If the
cable exhibits these traits, it should be replaced.
Load Indicator
Ensure load indicator is not deployed.
RFID Tag
Inspected to ensure it is still functioning properly. To do so, scan the tag with the IDBLUE RFID scanner. If
the tag returns an RFID number, the device is working properly. If the tag is working properly and the cable
assembly must be replaced, remove the working tag and install it on the new cable assembly. If the RFID
does not work, see the instructions for replacement later in this manual.
NOTE:
After a Workman 30ft (9m) & 50ft (15m) SRL is factory-inspected, record the date on the label
(P/N 10124481) and affix it to the product.
