Carburetor setting
4
The carburettor is adjusted at the factory.
Depending on the altitude where the trimmer
is being used (mountains area or lowlands) the
carburettor may have to be returned.
The catburettor is equipped with 3 adjustment
needles:
1. Idling Adjustment Set Screw (T)
2. Idling Mixture Adjustment Screw (L)
3. High Speed Mixture Adjustment Screw (H)
The adjustment range is limited for both the
idling mixture and high speed mixture screws.
Caution! Carburettors are adjusted
and tuned to achieve maximum
engine performance. An engine speed
measuring instrument is essential for any correct
carburettor adjustment!
To correctly adjust the carburettor, proceed as
follows:
a) Warm up engine
b) Adjust idling speed.
Find the highest idling speed with L-screw.
Once determined, slightly turn L-srew to the
left. Adjust idling speed with T-srew to
recommended idling speed. Once set, the
cutting tool should not longer rotate. Check
by pressing and releasing throttle lever. If
there is any hesitation, turn L-screw
a fraction more to the left.
c) Adjust max. admissible engine speed:
Accelerate to full speed with warm engine.
Adjust the speed with H-srew to obtain the
recommended max. speed.
d) Re-check engine idling speed.
Caution! Carburettors should only
be adjusted by authorized
specialist repair shops with suitable
measuring and adjustment
instruments!

Air filter
The air filter stops the intake of the accumulated
dirt and lessens wear on the engine.
Regular service lengthens the brushcutter's life
span.
Checking or cleaning air filter:
No special tools are required to access the air
filter. The filter cover (1) is attached with a
bayonet lock. Simply slide of the cover and
turn.
Remove air filter. (2)
When air filter is only slightly dirty (daily):
Shake out air filter or blow away debris.
When air filter is very dirty (weekly):
Clean air filter with liquid dish soap and water
and dry afterwards.
Replace air filter if damaged or deteriorating.
Cleaning Air filter:
Soiled air filters reduce the engine's efficiency.
They increase fuel consumption as well as
harmful substances in the exhaust. Furthermore,
engine start-up becomes more difficult.
The air filter should be cleaned daily if the
brushcutter is being used continuously. If large
amounts of dust accumulate, it is necessary to
clean the air filter more often.
For cleaning, remove the filter and gently
wash in warm, soapy water. Sqeeze and let
dry overnight (do not use heat). When dry,
apply a few drops of 2-cycle oil and squeeze
out excess oil. Refit filter. Damaged filters
need to be replaced immediately. Engine
damage caused by lack of maintenance of
filter is not covered by warranty.
For installation and re-installation, remove
cover. Close choke flap so
that dirt cannot enter the
carburetor. Remove air filter.

Spark Plugs
The spark plug (heat value 200) is available
under the following identifications:
BOSCH
WSR6F
or comparable
The required electrode gap is 0.5 mm (0.020").
Warning: The spark plug needs to be
checked after every 50 operating
hours. The spark plug needs to be
replaced if the electrode shows wear.
