1 Loosen the screws at the drive shaft.
2 Lift the entire drive unit out steadily,
taking care to keep it level!
3 If motor is mounted centrally ("A"):
remove the toothed belt sideways.
If motor is mounted on the side ("B"):
disconnect the hexagon shaft, then
remove the toothed belt sideways.
4 Loosen 2 x 2 screws at the return
ends.
5 Remove the toothed belt guides from
above.
6 Remove the toothed belt from the
rollers.
7 Remove belt guide profi le pieces
GP 2.
8 Remove faulty toothed belt.
Install the new toothed belt in reverse
order.
Please note:
• For the direction of movement of
the toothed belt, the arrow (welded
joint) must point towards the transport
direction!
• Installing the drive unit: Lower steadily
into the subframe, taking care to keep
it level and ensure that the toothed
belt sits in the gear teeth of the
toothed belt wheel!
• Tighten 2 x 4 fastening screws
alternately and diagonally!
9.2.3 Replacing the toothed belt
The CD MTparts 3 842 529 770 contains video tutorials about changing motors,
gears, and toothed belts, which can be found under "Maintenance Video for TS
2plus".
