NORMAL OPERATION

3.4.3 TIG operation

WHEN PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TESTS, DO NOT POINT THE TORCH AT
PEOPLE OR PARTS OF THE BODY, BUT ONLY TOWARDS AN OPEN SPACE OR
THE WORKPIECE TO BE WELDED.
□ Turn the power source off using switch R.
□ Connect the gas supply to fitting X.
□ Connect the power cable supplied to connectors AA-Z-Y of the wire feed unit and L-
M-O of the power source (in the TIG process the torch is negative, this is why the
power cable is connected to the negative terminal L ).
□ Connect the TIG torch to attachment C, the gas pipe to attachment D and the torch
start to connector E (see Pin-Out of connector E section 2.5)
□ Connect the cable of power source positive terminal C to the workpiece to be welded.
□ Turn the power source back on using switch R.
□ Select the "TIG" process
□ Select "TIG 2 STAGE" mode
□ With the water-cooled torch select MENU->ACCESSORIES->WATER COOLING
□ Press and rotate the knob to select AUTO.
♦ pump (26) and fan (2) will be activated.
□ Press "back" until the main screen appears.
□ Press the start button briefly.
♦ Gas begins to flow out of the torch (pre-gas time).
♦ When the torch button is released there is no post-gas phase
because it is present only if welding occurred
