CEBORA S.p.A.
3.5.8 The arc does not strike (no voltage to the secondary winding of
transformer (53))
TESTING POWER SUPPLY
□ Check the voltage at power source output terminals K (+) and L (-) with MIG and TIG
process, with start button, in MMA with MMA process selected. Expected value 71
Vdc for Item No 372, 80 Vdc for Item No 374
TESTING IGBT DRIVER COMMAND
□ With the power source off, temporarily disconnect connector J20 on microswitch
board (37).
□ Power the power source and check that, in MIG mode, during the striking phase or
with the start button pressed, "Error 10" is generated:
3301045
NO
Check for presence of +540 Vdc voltage at terminals
SCREW2(+) and SCREW1(-) of the power module on power
board (48). If not correct, go to TESTING MAINS
CONNECTIONS in section 3.5.1.
With the power source off, check that the output of diode
assembly (27) is not short-circuited or leaking insulation to
earth. If necessary, troubleshoot components and wiring
downstream from diode assembly (27), and if necessary
perform the no-load test in section 3.5.9.
With the power source off, check that the primary winding of
transformer (53) and its connections are not interrupted, short-
circuited or leaking insulation to earth.
With the power source off, temporarily disconnect the secondary
winding end terminals of transformer (53) from diode assembly
(27) and ensure that diode assembly (27) is intact, remembering
that each module actually consists of two diodes each,
connected in parallel.
