TESTING IGBT DRIVER CIRCUITS
□ With the power source off, on power board (48), disconnect connector J4 on Item No
372 and connector J2 Item No 374, check the resistance at the following terminals:
- connector J2(J4): 1-2 = <1 ohm even when measuring instrument tips are reversed
- connector J2(J4): 3-4 = <1 ohm even when measuring instrument tips are reversed
If not correct, replace power board (48) and the IGBT module to which it is
connected.
TESTING IGBT MODULE
□ With the power source off, check the resistance of the following terminals of the IGBT
module/modules on power board (48), on Item No 374 two modules are connected in
parallel:
(see assembly plan of power board (48))

28(+) – 29(-) = 2200 ohm, approximately;

28(-) – 29(+) = 1100-1500 ohm, approximately;
-
32(+) – 33(-) = 2200 ohm, approximately;
-
32(-) – 33(+) = 1100-1500 ohm, approximately;
-
37(+) - 38(-) = 2200 ohm, approximately;
-
37(-) - 38(+) = 1100-1500 ohm, approximately;
-
41(+) - 43(-) = 2200 ohm, approximately;
-
41(-) - 43(+) = 1100-1500 ohm, approximately;
-
21-22(+) - 15-16-17(-) = >Mohm;
-
21-22(-) - 15-16-17(+) = diode junction;
-
48-49(+) - 5-6-7(-) = >Mohm;
-
48-49(-) - 5-6-7(+) = diode junction;
-
15-16-17(+) - 23-24(-) = >Mohm;
-
15-16-17(-) - 23-24(+) = diode junction;
-
5-6-7(+) - 46-47(-) = >Mohm;
-
5-6-7(-) - 46-47(+) = diode junction.
If not correct, replace the defective IGBT module, together with power board (48) to
which it is connected.
In the event of failure of an IGBT module or a driver circuit on power board (48), power
board (48) should be replaced.
TESTING AT
□ With the power source off, on power board (48), disconnect connector J4 on Item No
372 and connector J2 on Item No 374, check the resistance at terminals 1 - 2:
Correct value = 13 ohm approximately for Item No 372 and 9.3 ohm approximately for
Item No 374.
