Installation instructions

Installation process:
A competent workshop should install the LinkKit. Special tools are needed for the installation as well
as detailed, vehicle-specific manuals. Incorrect fitting may lead to damage to the vehicle or the
LinkKit.
Only the original German version is definitive. No liability is assumed for translation errors. Subject
to technical modifications.
The LinkKit is fitted in the footwell on the passenger side. The
following should be noted when selecting the fitting location:

Accessibility to the LinkKit for the driver
◆
Minimum restriction to the passenger footwell (risk of
damage when getting in and out)
◆
Clearance for the passenger seat (for longitudinal
adjustment) and for the glove compartment cover
◆
Routing of the wiring to the window aerial
The illustration shows the fitting in the passenger footwell
of a left-hand drive vehicle. With right-hand drive
vehicles, the fitting is carried out on the other side in the
same way.
Fitting of the LinkKit must take place vertically with its
opening upwards (see fig.) and on a flat surface of the
vehicle (plastic surface).
 Use an appropriate cleaner (e.g. industrial alcohol or isopropyl alcohol/isopropanol) to degrease the
fitting location in the passenger footwell.
 Remove the protective films from the adhesive pads supplied and press the LinkKit down firmly on the
prepared fitting location.
 Fit the window aerial.

 Position and connect the LinkKit connecting cable to the aerial connection of the window aerial.
 Secure the aerial cable to existing leads and brackets on the vehicle with cable ties to prevent rattling
noises.
 Where necessary, re-fit any parts of the vehicle which have been removed in the reverse order.
